This workshop is designed to equip veterinary professionals with advanced communication skills to enhance client relationships, improve patient outcomes, and build personal confidence. Using the Calgary-Cambridge Model as a framework, the workshop explores the importance of developing rapport and building trust with clients. It delves into the importance of making clear & concise professional recommendations focusing on delivering information in a way that ensures client understanding and communicates value, thus improving compliance.

Difficult conversations are a challenging part of veterinary client communication. This workshop will focus on language patterns for delivering difficult news, discussing finances and dealing with angry, emotional clients and will include the importance of developing resilience and self-care strategies. It will ensure participants are prepared for real-life scenarios with activities, group discussions, and actionable strategies which will be integrated throughout to help attendees apply their new skills effectively in practice.
