Vet Nurses

This workshop is designed for both new and experienced Nurses looking to update their anaesthesia knowledge and skills. This workshop will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to safely anaesthetise and monitor your patients. This workshop will enable you to develop and affirm your confidence in anaesthetising patients. 

Please note that the Masterclass in Anaesthesia combines content from our Anaesthesia for Veterinary Nurses I and II workshops, providing an integrated learning experience. Attendees should choose either this Masterclass or the separate I and II workshops, as they cover similar material.

  • Understanding anaesthetic equipment and developing safety protocols
  • Understanding the induction process
  • Monitoring anaesthetised patients
  • Pharmacology of Anaesthetic Drugs
  • What are your monitors telling you – Capnography, ECG, NIBP
  • Developing protocols for the safe recovery of your patient
  • Monitoring recovery patients & recognising post-operative complications
