Vet Nurses
The success of a TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery depends on far more than the surgeon’s technical skill-it requires a highly trained, cohesive veterinary team. This collaborative workshop has been designed to train veterinarians and veterinary nurses side-by-side, with shared topics and interactive sessions that foster trust, communication, and streamlined workflow.
While veterinarians focus on mastering the TPLO procedure itself, veterinary nurses will participate in a parallel program dedicated to the vital skills that ensure surgical efficiency and patient safety. Nurses will learn advanced scrubbing, draping, instrument handling, peri-operative analgesia, and post operative care, with key overlapping sessions—such as femoral and sciatic nerve blocks-designed to align both streams and introduce modern concepts in pain management.
This approach ensures both vets and nurses leave with complementary skills, ready to bring evidence-based, gold-standard care back to their practices.
Team Education: Vets attending the TPLO course must nominate a nurse in their clinic to attend this workshop.
